Mountain Dreams opened on Tamborine Mountain, about an hours drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast of Queensland Australia, in April, 2007. While always focusing on the art of Maki Horanai and the collaborations with Hillel Weintraub, we were representing 20 different artists by putting their work in the shop. Although located on Gallery Walk, a well known tourist spot with over a million visitors a year, the items in our shop did not appeal to the average visitor to the mountain and did not generate high sales. We did have our fans though, and developed a mailing list of over 400 appreciative visitors over the past few years when we started to develop our contacts. Now, looking back at these photos, it's satisfying to know that we have brought some pleasure to people's lives with our art.
